WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

As you are probably aware, if you watch the news, major record labels have been loudly complaining about loss of revenue and filing lawsuits against teens for downloading music online. Meanwhile, one record executive spent $20 million to go to the international space station for fun.

EWRecs is not in business to take trips to outer space. We provide a place where music fans and artists can come together to enjoy music in whatever way they wish. Our mission is to nurture a truly artistic community, and in the process, to create a unique and compelling record label.

HISTORY

EWRecs was founded in 1996 as a label to release albums for the band Elsewhere and has since grown into a full operating independent label. Summerhead and DulceSky were signed to the label in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Iberis, QstandsforQ and Theta Naught followed in 2003. 2004 came with the signing of The Child who was a Keyhole. In 2005, Eden's Watchtower inked papers with The Happies, until then, voted the best unsigned band by Salt Lake City Weekly. Calico, Brilliant Stereo Mob, Patsy, OH, and Eliza Wren have been acts that EWRecs had been wanted to sign, some of them, for years, and it finally happened.

"Charmed, I’m Sure
If Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang ran a record label, it would probably be something like Eden’s Watchtower Records. Eden’s catalog—which features acts like gypsy songtress Eliza Wren, astral shoegazers DulceSky and alt-country all-stars Patsy, Ohio—will charm you faster than the Charlie Brown Christmas special."
